My next book is partially set in Louisiana. I was home recently and given several big incentives to have it on the shelves soon. Time for the editing process. Stay tuned.

I took a little time to start a new blog today. That counts as writing, right?

Creativity

Over the last week I have organized my six books in progress and two completed works. I also decided which ones to seek publication of first. Now, I just have to decide on an agent. My "New Year's resolution" is gaining traction.

Operation Phoenix Rise!

It's a wonderful Sunday with my family and I am trying to figure out how I can stabilize my life in a way that makes time...or allows me to take time for me to do everything I need to do in the course if a day. The list is long and includes:
•Quality time with family
•Working
•Taking care of Brownie

Those are the things that always get done. The ones I need to work on and integrate back into my schedule again are as follows:
•Exercise
•Writing
•Personal Time

Somehow in the last two years those things have fallen by the wayside. Well, it's time to get back on track. I have a finished manuscript in my office begging for my attention and an exercise bike demanding it. Operation Phoenix rise is on!

As the smoke clears....

It is officially Christmas Eve (6:10 AM). With the entire day ahead of me, all I can think of is how great it is to be who I am. As for writing, to be honest, I have been otherwise occupied. But I'm getting back on the horse. It is time for the phoenix to rise yet again...

...If that sounds like a New Year's Resolution..it is. And this time I have technology on my side. :)

Phoenix Rising...

Hi eveyrone.....the Phoenix has risen into another profession.

This fall I will begin teaching high school in my academic discipline, Social Sciences (and Special Education). I've been working hard on my book but computer problems have slowed me down slightly. I lost a few chapters to a tragic accident and now my keyboard goes crazy at will. It's a mess but I'm scoping out a new computer and narrowing down the selections. Wish me luck and shoot over any impressive compters you run across(btw, I'm looking for a laptop).
